Pedaling 4 Parkinson's

Our 10th annual Pedaling 4 Parkinson’s ride on June 8th, 2019 will be better than ever, starting at Sweetwater Park in Lone Tree.

Pedaling 4 Parkinson’s draws hundreds each year to join the fight against Parkinson’s Disease. This year we will be starting and ending at Sweetwater Park in Lone Tree. Cyclists can choose from four routes –60-Mile, 40-Mile, 27 mile out and back, and 10-Mile.  The event also features an expo in the afternoon with lunch, beer garden, live music, and community sponsors. All money raised from riders will be donated to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Whether you’re a rider, sponsor, or volunteer, every effort counts. Come join us for a fun day raising funds for an amazing cause.

Research shows that bicycling can have tremendous benefits to people with Parkinson’s, well beyond those enjoyed by all cyclists.  Vigorous cycling can sometimes reduce symptoms for hours or days afterwards. If you, or someone you know has Parkinson’s, please consider this opportunity to ride and help increase awareness of the many benefits of cycling.
Pedaling 4 Parkinson's also created the Tandem Bike Project as a unique opportunity for individuals with Parkinson's Disease to ride on the back of a tandem bike as a “stoker”. Cyclists can choose to have a friend or family member ride along with them as their “captain” on the front of the bike, or may ask to be paired up with one of our strong “captains” for the day. Don’t own a tandem bike? No worries! Our organization partners with bike shops around town to borrow enough tandems for everyone to participate in the fun! Tandem riders can choose to ride the 10, 23, 40, or 60 mile option in June.
