For those that do not know this, my dad has Parkinson's Disease. This is a progressive neurological disease with no current cure that drastically impacts the motor skills of those affected. For those of you that do know my dad, he has always been a super hero dad. Talk about someone who does absolutely anything for his family and whatever it takes to make his wife and children happy and safe, and you are talking about Chris Egizi. He has always been there supporting each of me and my 4 siblings along the way through every sporting event, practice, rehearsal, performance, bad day, good day, and mystery ride that we have put him through for the last 35 years. Now going through watching, not only a family member, but my superhero dad go through something like this can feel incredibly helpless. I am here today doing what I can do to return the favor and support my dad by helping to spread the word of Team Fox and to help raise funds that directly go towards finding a cure for this horrible disease. This fall I will be running the NYC Marathon for the first time and raising money for Team Fox. Please consider donating any amount you are able to support this effort. I am beyond excited for this opportunity and hope to play a small role in finding a cure for Parkinson's Disease!
Everyone can help end Parkinson’s disease.
An estimated five million people worldwide live with Parkinson's today. It is the second most common neurological disorder. In the United States, approximately 60,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year alone. There is no known cure.
Together, we can change this.
Team Fox is the grassroots community fundraising program at The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF). MJFF accelerates high-impact science through smart risk taking and problem solving with a commitment to urgency and efficiency. I’m one of thousands of people around the globe who are turning their passions into Team Fox fundraisers to help them speed a cure for Parkinson’s. When you give today, 100 percent of Team Fox proceeds go straight to MJFF’s programmatic efforts.
Thank you for being part of this team!
