Batting Practice for Parkinson's Disease @ the Durham Bulls

Ryan Kelly

Being diagnosed in 2016 at the age of 38 felt like a strike-out, but we are turning it into a home run this October by hitting BP for PD @ the Durham Bulls Athletic Park!

There are three ways to participate:

(1) FUNDRAISE -- To join our team and earn a spot in the batter's box, or at least earn admission to the party for you and your family, visit the official BP for PD page at fundraise.michaeljfox.org/tf-2019/BPforPD and click on Join Our Team to get started.

(2) BUY TICKETS -- If batting practice isn't your thing, you can still join the party in the PNC Triangle Club, overlooking the stadium, with a catered dinner, beer from Bull Durham Beer Company, family games, and a silent auction of fun items. To buy individual, non-fundraiser "Party Tickets" visit: bpforpdtickets.eventbrite.com.

(3) DONATE -- Can't attend the party but still want to support a worthy cause? Donate here on my page!

All proceeds raised go directly to the MJFF and hopefully finding a cure for this disease!

An important tenet to managing PD symptoms is exercise - I need to move it or lose it - and baseball has been a huge source of my well-being since my diagnosis. As a life-long baseball player, coach, and fan of the game, we have been blessed with an opportunity to take Goodmon Field at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on October 10th for batting practice. This is a RARE opportunity to "hit bull - win steak" or "hit grass - win salad!"

We can't wait to see you October 10th at the ballpark!
