Everyone can help end Parkinson’s disease. More than six million people worldwide live with Parkinson's today, including me. I was diagnosed in April of 2015 at the age of 49 and I am determined to do my part to help find a cure. It is the second most common neurological disorder. In the United States, approximately 60,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year alone.
Together, we can change this! Team Fox is the grassroots community fundraising program at The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF). MJFF is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
I’m one of thousands of people around the globe who are turning their passions into Team Fox fundraisers to help them speed a cure for Parkinson’s. We are planning for our 2nd Annual Ricebird Baseball & Ladybird Softball Alumni Game on March 28th at 10:00am. This event is open to the public and all are invited to attend! (no charge for admission!). It will be a fun day for family and friends to cheer on our former EC baseball and softball players as they dust off their gloves, lace up their shoes, and play ball with old teammates. The Ricebirds will play on the baseball field while the Ladybirds will play on theirs. We will have a home run derby on each field. Then if we have enough interest, players will join together for a “celebrity-style” co-ed slow pitch softball game afterwards. We will have a raffle, silent auction, concession stand, as well as plates for drive-through pickup or dine-in. Mark your calendar and come on out to the ballpark for a day of fun!
When you give today, 100 percent of Team Fox proceeds go straight to MJFF’s research programs. Last year's event was a huge success and I'm looking forward to seeing what 2020 has to offer! I hope you'll help support our effort to Strike Out Parkinson's.
Thank you so much!
