We appreciate your wonderful support in years past. We hope to continue not only offering a great tournament experience, but also to raise the bar in donations in 2021! In the past 7 years, we have raised nearly $80,000 for Team Fox!
This year, our goal is simple - to go over $100k!
With the support of our sponsors, selfless volunteers, family, friends, and YOU - we CAN do it!
The wonderful people you see pictured above is the Mathis Family from the Pour 4 A Cure event in 2019. We are extremely proud to give Cathy Mathis her well deserved spotlight in 2021! Cathy (like a lot of people) was unable to attend in 2020. When I asked her if she'd consider attending this year, here's her response:
"I am VERY EXCITED that you still want to honor me this year. I humbly accept this kind gesture. Doug (Cathy's husband) and I have spoken with everyone and we all feel that THIS YEAR would be a great year to be part of the 8th Annual Breaking Parkinson's Classic!"
We are returning to our traditional format this year, with registration, check-in, lunch and awards dinner following the event (see event times below). Heatherwoode is currently allowing 100 guests in the banquet room (Max of 10 per table, spaced 6 feet apart). We will also be allowed to have some seating outdoors as well.
Parkinson’s affects nearly 1 million people in the United States and more than 6 million people worldwide. While the average age of onset is 60, an estimated five to 10 percent of people with PD experience onset at age 40 or younger. There is no known cure for Parkinson’s disease. Currently available treatments only temporarily mask symptoms while the disease continues to progress.
