Five million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s disease — a chronic, degenerative neurological disorder. In the United States, 60,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year alone.
I was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson's Disease at the age of 45 in February of 2020. This was at the start of the pandemic, and although it looks like a way to control COVID-19 is just around the corner, there still is no cure for Parkinson's Disease. I will do everything I can to raise awareness and funding to help find that cure. I won't quit because Parkinson's Disease isn't going anywhere. It's a progressive disease so every day I go without a way to stop or cure it, PD tries to take a little more.
