Everyone can help end Parkinson’s disease.
WE DID IT! Dopey Challenge Completed. Above and Beyond fundraising goal!!! Thank you to my fellow Team Fox running mates, epic Cheer Squad, and supporters of the cause. It was a sweaty, hot one and we survived. 48.6 official miles, 6 medals, copious beers, lasting memories.
I am honored to return with Team Fox to the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and my 3rd Dopey Challenge. 4 Races + 4 Days = 48.6 miles for Parkinson's Research. Welcome to 2020!
This past November I joined 130 other athletes representing Team Fox at the TCS NYC Marathon, and completed my 5th marathon for Team Fox. The first marathon I ever ran was for the Dopey Challenge, it was in honor of my Pop, Gary, shortly after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's. I now run in memory of my dad and for all those affected by this disease. Along the way I've met other Team Fox participants and their families, and have been inspired by their tenacity, unwavering support, humor, joy and love.
For Team Fox and The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, I will be returning to NYC for the 2020 Marathon.
My financial goal, this year, in fundraising will be to break $10,000.
Thank you for your donation, your gracious support of my efforts and for joining me as part of “Gary’s 48.6 Miles x Smiles”.

An estimated five million people worldwide live with Parkinson's today. It is the second most common neurological disorder. In the United States, approximately 60,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year alone. There is no known cure.
Together, we can change this.
Team Fox is the grassroots community fundraising program at The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF). MJFF accelerates high-impact science through smart risk taking and problem solving with a commitment to urgency and efficiency. I’m one of thousands of people around the globe who are turning their passions into Team Fox fundraisers to help them speed a cure for Parkinson’s. When you give today, 100 percent of Team Fox proceeds go straight to MJFF’s programmatic efforts.
Thank you for being part of this team!
Eureka! An interjection used to celebrate a discovery or invention. "Eureka" comes from the Ancient Greek word εὕρηκα heúrēka, meaning "I have found (it)", which is the first person singular perfect indicative active of the verb εὑρίσκω heuriskō "I find". It is closely related to heuristic, which refers to experience-based techniques for problem solving, learning, and discovery.
