My name is Lexie Jordan, and I’m running the 2020 Walt Disney World Half Marathon for my Grandma Adrienne. My grandma has been battling Parkinson’s for over ten years. Although this disease has taken so much from her physically, she has never let it break her spirit. For that, (and so many other things) she is the strongest person I know and my greatest role model. I’ve never been a, “runner” but earlier this year I decided I wanted to challenge myself. For me, there is no better way to do that than running for an organization that works tirelessly to find a cure for Parkinson’s. My hope is that one day,, people won’t have to go through what my Grandma Adrienne has gone through as a result of this disease. If you decide to donate, know that on January 11th you’ll be running 13.1 miles with me, (in my heart, of course) to end Parkinson’s. I will never forget the look of joy on my grandmother’s face when I told her I was doing this for her, so please understand that any and all support you can give means the world to me.
Thank you for being part of this team!
